End of Line Deflagration Arresters
End-of-line deflagration flame arresters are installed on storage tanks, vessels, or in process plants. They provide safe protection against atmospheric deflagration, short time burning, or endurance burning if potentially explosive vapors are discharged. They prevent flame transmission and protect equipment which is not designed to be explosion proof. Protego deflagration arresters are certified for Group C and D vapors

In Line Deflagration Arresters
In-line deflagration flame arresters are safety devices which reliably suppress the effects of a deflagration in the pipelines neat a potential ignition source, extinguish the flame, and protect systems which cannot withstand the pressure of an explosion. Protego deflagration arresters are certified for Group C and D vapors

Detonation Arresters
Protego’s detonation flame arresters are highly developed safety devices which are used pipe systems in which detonations can occur. Protego’s unique shock absorber and individual stacked element design allows them to offer an arrester with a shorter flame package than the competition. These features result in lower pressure drops and ease of maintenance compared to other products on the market. Protego’s detonation arresters are certified for Group B, C, and D vapors. They carry FM, ATEX, and Coast Guard approvals.

Vents
Protego conservation vents provide both pressure and vacuum protection for storage tanks. Vents are offered in either in-line or end-of-line configurations. They can also be provided with integral deflagration arresters. Protego’s unique 10% accumulation technology allows for full opening at 10% overpressure rather than the 100% overpressure required by the competition. This allows Protego to offer smaller sizes and tighter operating margins for hard to design low pressure systems.
